SYSTEM ENGINEER - KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA & PERTH, AUSTRALIA
MSi Kenny is actively searching for candidates in both our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Perth, Australia locations to help support engineering software applications serving the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

The System Engineers in our maintenance group at MSi Kenny are responsible for installing and supporting transient process models developed with MSi Kenny's proprietary modeling technology as well as managing existing customer relationships. System Engineers are also tasked with reporting, technical content management, client interaction, software installation and troubleshooting, commissioning, training and site verification, and to some extent, perform sales type activities.

The successful employee is one who continuously learns, thrives on daily challenges, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, both independently and as part of a team, strives for excellence, and wants to help build a great global company.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for the role of System Engineer, an applicant must have the following:

  • A 4-year Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • At least 2 years of SCADA/DCS implementation and configuration experience both offshore and onshore facilities.
  • A basic understanding of various aspects related to network administration such as user security, firewalls, and networking protocols.
  • Be a proven self-starter, results driven and customer-oriented.
  • The ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced MS Office skills to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel and be comfortable in Windows environments.
  • Unrestricted international travel (up to 30% annually) with short notice.
  • For the Kuala Lumpur position only - Must be bilingual - Fluent in and able to communcate effectively in English as well as Bahasa.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additionally MSi Kenny is looking for applicants with the following experience and skills:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in related field.
  • Experience with OPC servers and client implementation.
  • Experience with offshore or onshore plant control room environment.
  • Some programming experience in FORTRAN, Visual Basic, or C#.
  • Familiar with online and offline control systems and historians.

FLOW ASSURANCE ENGINEER - PERTH
Due to our continued growth and success, MSi Kenny - Perth is looking for candidates with working experience in all stages of project execution including conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, installation and operations support. The following attributes are essential for success:

  • Dedicated experience within Flow Assurance
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the execution of work
  • Working knowledge within Upstream Oil & Gas Projects
  • 7-8 years experience within a similar role
  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, advanced degree is a bonus
